The Foundation for Historical Material of the Swiss Army (HAM) in Thun preserves and documents the material cultural heritage of the army from 1800 to the present day on behalf of the federal government. The collection includes uniforms, weapons, artillery, surveying equipment and other gear, which can be viewed during guided group visits for six or more people. These visits are free of charge and offer an in-depth insight into Switzerland’s military-historical development.

For the expansion of the exhibition at the foundation, customised showcases from SYMA were used. These high-quality profile showcases enable an impactful presentation of historical uniforms and blend seamlessly into the existing exhibition concept. Thanks to their precise adaptation to the spatial and museological requirements, the exhibition area was not only functionally expanded but also thematically enhanced.
