SYMA's range for museums: a variety of display cases

The centrepiece of every museum are the objects on display. Many of the precious pieces need to be protected from prying fingers, some from temperature differences. All of them, however, need optimum lighting and a certain setting to showcase them. This is why we have developed a variety of museum display cases over the past 60 years, which can be roughly divided into three product groups

Profile display cases: The all-rounders

As the name suggests, our profile showcases are made from our patented aluminium profiles. Here we use the flexible SYMA profile system, which is also used for our exhibition stands. This gives our display cases the ability to take on almost any shape and size as museum furnishings. Customised designs and unusual requests are therefore in the DNA of these display cases. Our aluminium profiles are supported by a wide range of optional additional components and lighting options. Of course, the colour and material can also be selected individually. This makes our profile showcases true all-rounders.

Museum display cases: The premier class

Valuable or endangered artefacts often require special measures. That's why we develop high-quality climate-controlled display cases specifically for museums as object protection. Using state-of-the-art ventilation solutions, we can create almost any climatic conditions for a wide range of requirements in display cases. We offer state-of-the-art technology for this purpose. From simple climate control using Pro-Sorb to the use of an air conditioning unit. This means that our museum display cases not only fulfil the purpose of staging, but also comply with all conservation requirements for your exhibits.

Info & notice boxes: The flexible ones

Our range of information and notice boards is the perfect choice for flat objects and for communicating information. The back panels can be customised for different applications and are freely selectable. Lockable hinged glass doors or sliding glass doors reliably protect your exhibits and several alternative surface finishes are available. The SYMA design allows the cabinets to be assembled and dismantled quickly, making them flexible in use. Whether for exhibitions, events or meeting rooms, these products ensure your information is displayed visibly and attractively.

Advantages of aluminium profiles for museums

Our variety of display cases emphasises the versatility of SYMA profiles. But they can not only be used as frames for art objects. Partition walls, graphics with lighting systems and even virtual presentation rooms can be made from our aluminium profiles and expand your range. Changing exhibitions in particular benefit from the quick and easy assembly and dismantling of our systems. Entire rooms can be customised depending on the exhibition.

Unlimited combination options

Did you know that our profiles can not only be combined with each other within a system group? Our classic SYMA-SYSTEM 30, for example, can also be combined with our cubic SYMA-MOLTO to create an open room structure. Ideal if you need to create partitions and separate smaller areas for exhibitions.

Precisely coordinated interaction

Patented connection techniques that can be quickly assembled and disassembled with just one tool help here. Various accessories open up additional creative scope for design. For example, numerous coverings can be inserted into frames, which can also be backlit as required. The profiles designed as room dividers are transformed into a large illuminated infographic in the special exhibition.

Less is more

However, you don't need our entire product range for this creative leeway. Even our basic systems can be used to create impressive constructions. Why put additional strain on the limited storage space of museums when practical constructions in square, polygonal or even round basic shapes can be created for exhibitions with just a few profiles.

Sustainability

Special exhibitions are designed to attract attention for a short time - but often contain many elements that have to be disposed of afterwards. Our efforts to achieve greater sustainability in exhibition stand construction also provide a remedy here: many special constructions can be hired from SYMA on request for the duration of the exhibition. Even old profiles that are no longer used can find a new life with us. After all, it was not for nothing that we opted for aluminium as a material 60 years ago. This means that our profiles are not only durable, but can also be recycled many times and particularly efficiently. The infinite flexibility also allows them to be used in different areas and, thanks to their reusability, also contributes to sustainability

Innovation

Despite the already wide range of possible applications that this opens up, we are not standing still. We are driven by the desire to constantly develop something new so that you can always display your exhibits in a contemporary way.

As you can see from the numerous advantages of our aluminium profiles, the range of applications for our products for museums does not end with display cases. We have the right constructions and profiles for every exhibition size to safely store your treasures or amaze your visitors.
