For the trade fair construction industry, the year 2021 was once again full of challenges. From long periods of short-time work and many cancelled events to strict and often changing regulations when trade fairs were finally possible again. But together with our great cooperation partners and loyal customers, we have also successfully mastered this year. Looking back now, we can report many great projects, beautiful successes, exciting innovations and successful trade fairs. Here you can read the exclusive SYMA review of the year 2021.
The SYMA annual review of the latest trade fair innovations
Despite the bumpy start to the new year and the long forced break into early summer, we did not stand still, but developed creative solutions for these new times.
“Talk inside the Box”, with the EchoBox by SYMA
Guaranteed home office feeling: The SYMA EchoBox is the ideal retreat in modern open-plan offices or coworking areas. High-performance acoustic panels from our cooperation partner ECHOJAZZ offer, in the context of SYMA profiles, a sophisticated solution for quiet telephone calls or online video calls.
Being there is everything – with the “SYMA meet-hybrid Studio Cube”.
SYMA’s hybrid exhibition stand offers much more than the possibility of online calls. In cooperation with “meet-hybrid”, a dynamic solution for trade fairs was developed, which can take place in presence as well as in digital or hybrid form. This new trade fair format not only offers attractive technical innovation, for example in the case of strict COVID regulations, but is also an environmentally friendly and convenient alternative for international trade fair visitors.
Small rooms big with the SYMA BLACKBOX
Innovative forms of presentation for trade fair visitors on site, as well as elsewhere, are offered by the SYMA BLACKBOX. In cooperation with “inside reality”, a walk-through virtual reality experience was created that pushes boundaries in the smallest of spaces. Without glasses and in personal vis á vis, even large rooms and landscapes can be presented live and shared with others. Right in the middle instead of just being there.
The SYMA annual review of many exciting trade fairs in 2021
After a few creative months without active participation in the trade fair, we were all the more pleased to finally be able to get to work ourselves again! Even though there were slightly fewer trade fairs this year than in other years, we appreciated each and every project all the more.
The first new trade fairs in Asia
Where the pandemic began, normality has also returned most quickly. The first trade fairs of this year took place in Asia. At CHINAPLAS 2021, SYMA Asia has set up modular stands on a total of 220,000m2, as well as designed individual stands for national and international customers. Also at the 19th Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition, SYMA realized the first exhibition stands after the long break for many loyal customers, such as SAIC-GM, Chevrolet or BUICK, in addition to a 300m2 double-storey exhibition stand for Continental. Even for the Upper Austrian company WFL Millturn Technologies, it was off to CIMT 2021 in Beijing in the spring with a new product and a new SYMA exhibition stand.
At the OBA in St. Gallen with Lidl Switzerland
In the Central European region, larger events took a little longer to materialise, but in the autumn we were able to move many exhibition stands and our customers were delighted. For this new start, with a fresh look and new stand concept, Lidl also presented itself at the career fair in St. Gallen.
At the Fakuma with Color Technik AG
Only a short time later, the international trade fair for plastics processing took place in Friedrichshafen. On 63m2 we realized an outstanding, extraordinary exhibition stand for Color Technik AG. The Swiss family business presented itself colourful and fresh with high, illuminated graphic sails and an Italian ice cream van.
At the Blechexpo in Stuttgart with BRUDERER AG
The trade fair stand for BRUDERER AG at Blechexpo in Stuttgart had at least as great a long-distance effect. The specially designed overhead, with an impressive span of 15 meters, attracted many visitors to the booth. But after such a long forced break, tried and tested and traditional things could not be missing. This year, too, the famous catering zone, with a 7 meter long bar, found a place in the stand concept.
3,000m2 module stands at Index Geneva
The INDEX™20, which was finally able to take place under the same name a year later, also suffered from a forced break. With more than 9,300 visitors and 500 exhibitors from 44 countries, it was a complete success. SYMA implemented 3,000 m2 of modular stands in various construction variants with great enthusiasm.
At the EMO in Milan with WFL Millturn Technologies GmbH & CO KG
After the great start in Asia, WFL Milltorn Technologies GmbH & Co KG was finally able to present itself in Europe. The cleverly backlit cubes used for this announced the new M20 turning, drilling and milling machine from afar.
At the Pollutec in Lyon and the SMAUGUA in Zaragoza with vonRoll Hydro
The trade fair stands for vonRoll Hydro, which even received an award for design and stand decoration, are also part of the successful autumn fair. Awards and cooperations like these are our constant incentive for further development and we are particularly pleased in such challenging years.
SYMA annual review of special successes
Awarded the Goldenen Hahn 2021
Winning the “Goldenen Hahn 2021“ was a great honor for SYMA. The Lower Austrian state prize for outstanding advertising awarded the trade fair stand for Primetals Technologies realized by SYMA Austria in the category “POS trade fair architecture”. On the occasion of METEC 2019, an interactive model of a futuristic steelworks was designed and integrated into the completely innovative exhibition stand design.
In tune with the times: vaccination centers in Zurich and Vienna
The equipment of vaccination centers with vaccination cabins, partitions, showcases and folding furniture was a little less innovative but at least as contemporary. After such a long break, these were the first projects of the year, which finally gave us the opportunity to do what we love again: show our full commitment to our customers and implement state-of-the-art trade fair and presentation solutions.
This is exactly why we would like to thank our many loyal customers and partners at the end of this challenging year. They give us the opportunity, even in turbulent times, to carry on with heart and always look ahead. Thanks to you, we always stay innovative and creative. We are already looking forward to the many impressive exhibition stands next year and maybe we can count you among our new and enthusiastic customers.
